Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, sources said Wednesday. The Prime Minister will reach Samarkand Thursday evening for the summit. Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov told reporters that President Putin will discuss Russian-Indian cooperation within the UN and G20 with Prime Minister Modi during the SCO meeting. “A conversation on international agenda with Modi will also take place, the sides will discuss issues of strategic stability, the situation in the Asia Pacific Region, and, of course, cooperation within major multilateral formats, such as the UN, the G20 and the SCO,” Ushakov said, Russian news agency TASS reported. Director General of Police M L Lather said Ghouse had gone to visit the office of Dawat-e-Islami in Karachi. The DeI is a Sunni Islamic proselytising group founded in Pakistan by Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadri in 1981. Minister Yadav said Ghouse “went to Karachi in 2014 and spent about 45 days there. Then in 2018-19, he had movements in Arab countries and also visited Nepal a few times. And for the last 2-3 years, he was making calls to 8-10 phone numbers of Pakistan.” “The crime they have committed is not one which could have been committed by a common man. So the NIA has lodged a case and their network will be found out and the guilty will be jailed,” he said. As outrage over the killing mounted and condemnation poured in from different parts of the country, Gehlot cut short a visit to Jodhpur and returned to Jaipur where he chaired a meeting to review the Udaipur case with top state officials of the state. Post meeting, CM said that “preliminary probe reveals that the incident has been committed with an objective to spread terror and fear. It appears that they had a connection with international organisations, therefore it is obvious for the NIA to probe the entire incident.” He said that the state’s Special Operations Group (SOG) and Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) will extend “complete support” to the NIA in its investigation. DGP Lather told reporters that the questioning of Ghouse and Riyaz so far had revealed that “they were associated with an organisation named Dawat-e-Islami” and Ghouse “was in constant touch with other members of the organisation” Mumbai: Celebrations started in the BJP camp Wednesday evening as Uddhav Thackeray stepped down from the Maharashtra Chief Minister's post. BJP leaders were seen distributing sweets, shouting slogans at Mumbai's Taj hotel. At the centre of it all was Devendra Fadnavis, who met the Governor Tuesday evening and set off the end game.
Indicating that decks are being cleared for a change of guard, the Maharashtra BJP tweeted a video clip of a speech in Marathi by Mr Fadnavis. The accompanying caption, also in in Marathi, read, "I will come again. For the creation of a new Maharashtra! Jai Maharashtra". "We will tell you everything tomorrow," Mr Fadnavis told reporters on Wednesday."End of one of the darkest period of administration for Maharashtra. Along with ideological bankruptcy, unparalleled corruption, destruction of administrative apparatus, halting a vibrant economic environment the period also saw the new low of major section of media," tweeted senior BJP leader BL Santhosh. Mr Thackeray stepped down from the top post, shortly after the Supreme Court ruled that his government has to take a floor test at 11 am on Thursday as ordered by the Governor. The Team Thackeray, reduced to just about 15 MLAs, had asked the court to stop the floor test called today. With his resignation, the floor test is now void. Mr Fadnavis is likely to stake claim to form government, sources said. Rebel leader Eknath Shinde, whose move to walk out with a chunk of MLAs set off the downward spiral for the alliance government led by the Shiv Sena, is likely to be his deputy. There was a buzz earlier that a negative response from the top court may push Mr Thackeray to resign. The speculation was fed in part by the cabinet meeting held this evening where the government renamed three cities and Mr Thackeray formally thanked the ministers for their help and cooperation. "I am resigning as the Chief Minister. I don't want a hand in the blood of Shiv Sainiks that may be spilled tomorrow," Mr Thackeray said the Facebook live address this evening where he announced his resignation. The company underwent the incorporation process in the year 1986 under the name Usha Beltron Ltd. Since its inception, the company had been seeing immense growth and was elegantly walking up the ladder for the past 50 years. Some of its manufacturing units are set up in Ranchi, Hoshiarpur, Dubai, Bangkok and UK. MD Rajeev Jhawar is the Managing Director of Usha Martin Limited.
Usha Martin Ltd (UML) recently focuses on consolidating and strengthening its wire rope business over the next three quarters before embarking on organic and inorganic growth opportunities once demand revives. According to Rajeev Jhawar Managing Director UML the company with its deleveraged balance sheet post the sale of its steel business to Tata Steel and with healthy cash flows will look to strengthen its position among the top three wire rope players globally. Usha Martin Ltd claims to be among the top five wire rope players globally. “With the deleveraged balance sheet and healthy cash flows expected out of the business, we hope to grow both organically and inorganically over 3-5 years and rank among the top three players globally,” Rajeev Jhawar said. Jhawar, however, clarified that any growth — organic or inorganic will be funded largely through internal accruals. “I would never like to grow on the strength of taking debt. It would be more on internal accruals and a very conservative financial commitment,” he said. UML’s standalone turnover was close to ₹1,700 crore, while on a consolidated basis it was around ₹2,500 crore. The EBITDA on a consolidated basis was around ₹250-300 crore as on March 31, 2019. The current slowdown, both in the domestic and international markets, might impact UML’s topline this year. However, once demand revives, the company expects to be able to clock 10-15 per cent topline growth and a decent growth in profitability in about three years. UML’s wire rope business manufactures wire, strands, LRPC and wire ropes, which cater to various industries, including steel, infrastructure, construction and auto. Speaking on this matter Rajeev Jhawar said, “This year, steel and the other sectors are going through a slowdown; it will affect our topline. But we are trying to push volume growth through exports and with various cost-cutting measures, we hope to achieve ₹250-300 crore EBITDA this year”. Exports account for about 40 per cent of turnover, and the aim of Usha Martin is to take it to 50 per cent. 6/20/2022 Whatsapp Now Lets Participants Mute and Message Specific People During Group CallsRead Now WhatsApp has been diligent in introducing new features and improving current ones. The Meta-owned messaging giant is constantly attempting to close the feature gap between its platform and rival messaging services like Telegram. The messaging service recently expanded group chat support to 512 people, raised the file sharing limit, added the ability to move chat history from Android to iPhone, and introduced message responses.
Now, the company is taking an additional step and rolling out the ability to mute or message certain persons during a group call. The functionality was long delayed, despite the fact that WhatsApp’s member limit had been extended. You May Now Mute Noisy People During a Whatsapp Group CallWilliam Cathcart, the Head of WhatsApp at Meta, revealed the new feature via a tweet from his Twitter account. In a group conversation, participants can mute someone who has forgotten to turn off their microphone or has accidentally turned it on, saving everyone the agony of having to listen to them. The ability to mute specific people will be offered to all call participants, rather than just the one who requested it. Regardless of who mutes the person, no one else in the group will be able to hear them. To signal this, a mute icon will appear next to the muted person’s name. There’s another addition to group call UI, where WhatsApp now also allows you to message particular people while on a group call. WhatsApp is also introducing a new banner that will notify users when someone joins a call after it has already begun. Muting individuals on a group call looks simple, all you need to do is tap on the appropriate individual’s name during the call, and then choose whether to mute or send an personal text. In related news, Whatsapp announced that the company would soon be rolling out the ability to transfer chats from Android to iOS. You may be able to move your conversations from Android to iOS without the need for any third-party applications. The feature is currently in the testing phase, and beta users will be among the first to get hands-on with this new functionality. 6/20/2022 North Wales Tesco worker who drank 10 litres of Pepsi a day beats £7,000-a-year addictionRead Now Tesco worker from Gwynedd who drank a 10 litres of Pepsi a day for 20 years says he has been cured of his addiction through hypnosis. 41-year-old Andy Currie from Bangor drank 30 cans of Pepsi a day for two decades, costing him an estimated £7,000 a year.
